During the Living Materials week, we explored regenerative practices and biofabrication, delving into the fundamental differences between sustainable design and regenerative design.
"How might the practices of design and innovation evolve to meet the existential challenges we are currently facing?"
The focus was on biofabricated materials, including bioplastics, biodegradable polymers, and bio-fabricated materials. We examined the processes, outcomes, and technical specifications, gaining a comprehensive understanding of how these materials are created and applied.
This theoretical foundation was followed by practical, hands-on workshops where we experimented with crafting bio-based materials. We worked with both hot recipes and cold recipes.
day 2: Beyond Human Design. Visit at Hangar, Wetlab
